Ron-da'val Ltd. design, manufacture and build African Style Huts. Our standard Ron-da'val structures are made from Radiata pine (Pinus Radiata) imported from South Africa. We can also undertake commissioned builds in other materials, including re-claimed oak. All timbers are  from responsibly managed forests, approved by the FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) or SGS Group's Forest Certification Qualifor Program. Our structural timbers are pressure treated using Osmose Naturewood, a copper based preservative. Our roofs are thatched using Water Reed from Poland, over a breathable membrane, providing a moisture barrier. This also increases the life of the hut and reduces maintenance costs. The reed thatch provides the look, rather than the function. Our roofs can therefore be built with a shallower slope than conventional thatched roofs.
